1. throw ~ off: ~을 헷갈리게 하다
ex> The director came in while I was speaking and that threw me off a bit.

2. the best play: 최고의 선택
ex> I want to see her again. Do you really think that not calling her for three days is the best play?

3. do the math: 계산하다, 뻔하다
ex> The boss has rejected every proposal you've made this year. You aren't going to be promoted. Do the math!

* take ~ off one's hands: take sth away from sb who no longer wants it or take a responsibility from somebody who needs a rest
ex> I wish somebody would take this old table off my hands. I haven't got room for it.
