10/17 3D Graphics

DIALOG>> The movie is out in 3D.

It's out in 3D, right?
 * be out:  출시하다, 개봉하다.
ex> The DVD for the movie will be out soon.

Most blockbusters are being released in 3D now.

I love wearing those funky glasses. It feels futuristic.
*funky: (approving) fashionable and unusual

They cost a fortune! I think I'll start saving up money.
* cost a fortune: 비싸다.
ex> The camera cost me a fortune!

RESPONSE>> Talk about 3D movies at theaters.

Computer generated imagery, or CGI, has innovated the movie industry.
* innovate: to introduce new things, ideas, or ways of doing sth, 혁신시키다.

There has been a boom in 3D films ever since the movie Avatar.
 ex> We've been seeing a boom in the number of foreigners.

Many movies are now released in 3D.
ex> I heard that the movie has been released in 3D.

Some are even shown in 4D now.

Technology has come a long way.
 * have come a long way: 많은 진전을 보이다.
ex> Korea has come a long way when it comes to its GDP.

3D images now look more real.
* look more real: 더욱 현실감 있게 보이다.
ex> That painting looks more real than this one.

People have to wear funky 3D glasses to enjoy these images.

3D TVs are getting more popular despite their expensive prices.

Korea's leading electronics companies like Samsung and LG are already selling their 3D TVs in massive numbers.
* in massive number: 엄청난 수로


@ I want to hit on a few more issues.  몇가지 문제를 더 다뤄 보고 싶어. = deal with

1. There has been a boom in Korea movies again since early this years.
2. It will be cool if the animation will be out in 3D.
3. The Computer security industry has come a long way.
4. Celebrity weddings cost a fortune.
