12/9 Ho-ppang

DIALOG>> Just nuke ho-ppangs in the microwave.

Let's get some ho-ppangs from the convenience store.

My mouth is already watering.

I'll take the vegetable-flavored one.

We can just nuke them in the microwave.


RESPONSE>> Talk about ho-ppangs Korean enjoy.

Koreans enjoy a number of tasty winter snacks.

Aside from the roasted chestnuts and sweet potatoes, another favorite is ho-ppang.
* roasted chestnut: 군밤

Ho-ppangs are steamed buns with various fillings inside.

* steamed bun: 찐빵
ex> You can dip the steamed buns in this sauce.
ex> There is minced meat filling inside the bun.

You can choose from different flavors.

The most common ones are those with sweet red bean paste or vegetables in them.

They are quite filling and are perfect for a midnight snack.

Just pop the ho-ppangs into the microwave and nuke them for about a minute or two.

* nuke [njúːk]: 전자레인지로 요리하다, 핵무기로 공격하다.
ex> This taste horrible if you nuke it up in the microwave.

Children love to have one of these treats.
