3/5 What do you like to do at the beach?

I usually go to the beach and lie in the sun to get a tan.
* get a tan: 선탠을 하다
ex> I want to get a tan this summer.

I don’t like to get too dark, so I put on sunblock all over my body.
ex> I put on lotion all over my body after taking a shower.

Of course, I also like to swim in the ocean and enjoy the waves.
ex> I am afraid of swimming in the ocean.

At night, the beach becomes a party venue. I go out for food and drinks with people.
* go out for: ~하러 나가다
ex> I went out for dinner with my parents yesterday.
* party venue: 놀기 좋은 장소

I sometimes play with firecrackers on the beach.
* firecracker: 폭죽

In the early morning, I like to take a walk along the beach. It feels great to breathe in the fresh air in the morning.
* breathe in the fresh air: 신성한 공기를 마시다
ex> I breathe in the fresh air whenever I go hiking.

@ I’m a huge beach person나는 완전히 바닷가 체질이다.

<HOMEWORK>
1.      I always get a tan in the summer.
2.      I feel pain all over my body.

3/4 Do you like going to the beach? Which beach is your favorite?

I am a huge beach-goer in the summer. Thankfully, Korea has plenty of beautiful and exciting beaches.
* huge beach-goer: 해변에 가는 것을 매우 좋아하는 사람
ex> If you’re a huge beach-goer, you must visit the beaches in Korea.
* plenty of: 많은
ex> I have plenty of things to do today.

One of my favorite beaches is Haeundae, which is located in a port city called Busan. It’s one of the most well-known beaches in Korea.

It is located in a big city, so there is a lot to do by the beach.
ex> I don’t have a lot to do this weekend.

There are a lot of places to eat and drink.

It does get extremely crowded during the peak season but it’s worth it.
* get extremely crowded: 매우 붐비다
ex> The club gets extremely crowded on Friday nights.

Haeundae is roughly 5 hours away by car from Seoul, but there’s a bullet train that only takes half the time, so it’s not too far away.
* take half the time: 시간이 절반 걸리다
ex> It will take half the time if you use the subway.

@ I prefer a room with an ocean view바닷가 전망의 방을 선호해요.
