11/4 Mobile Social Networking

Talk about doing social networking on your phone.

I use my cell phone most of the time to do social networking. In fact, the vast majority of people now use their cell phones to do Facebook or Instagram. Because these services have become more mobile-friendly. it's easier to post things with our phones. User patterns have changed because of this trend. I make status updates 24/7 as I always have my phone on me. I leave replies on other people's postings and press the LIKE button if I like a posting. I do these things on the go. It's a great way to kill time when I'm just sitting around not doing anything in particular.

시간 때우다

별로 하는 일 없이 시간을 때운다는 말을 할 때 사용하는 영어 표현은 kill time이다. 누군가를 기다리며 시간을 때운다는 의미로 쓰기에 가장 좋은 표현이다.

ex> I watched a movie to kill some time. (나는 시간을 때우기 위해 영화를 한 편 봤다.)

9/4 Memorable Social Networking Postings

Talk about memorable postings you saw on social networking sites recently.

I remember one of my friends posting a picture of her newly-born baby recently. Her baby was adorable. I also remember people posting pictures of their pets. They catch amusing moments on camera and share it with other people. I also remember people posting pictures of food they were having. Koreans are very fond of posting pictures of food at restaurants. Next, I see a lot of funny video clips on Facebook these days. I remember seeing a video of two Filipino divers making a terrible mistake in a competition recently. The clip was hilarious and it went rival. I reposted it on my page because it was so funny. It got more than 20 million hits and got tons of LIKEs.

조회수를 기록하다 vs. '좋아요'를 받다

SNS에서 많이 언급하게 되는 것이 게시물의 조회수와 '좋아요' 횟수이다. 사람들이 얼마나 클릭을 해서 봤는지를 가늠하는 척도가 되는 것이 이 두 가지이다.
