Postprandial sleepiness, or a food coma, is a symptom caused by reduced blood flow to the brain as blood is pumped to the stomach to aid digestion. If you overeat, you may experience more severe symptoms.  

My drowsiness after lunch has gotten worse as I get on in years. When I was younger, I could eat like a horse and had no problems digesting the food.

 * I was so hungry that I ate like a horse. 

cf> She never gains weight because she eats like a bird.

But now, I feel bloated and drowsy if I over-indulge at lunchtime. It even gets in the way of my work in the afternoon.

 * I skipped lunch because I felt bloated. 

That's why I try to eat light at lunchtime with coffee, soy milk, or a salad. Having light meals at lunchtime has definitely made me feel less drowsy afterwards. 

It's easier for me to stay focused on my work in the afternoon, too. As an added bonus, I can unwind as I read or take a walk during the extra free time I have at lunch break.

 * I couldn't stay focused on my work because of the noise.

I think going for a light stroll after lunch can also help prevent food comas.

 Talk about parking issues in apartment complexes

Most apartment complexes have parking space for 1.3 to 1.5 cars per household. But many households these days have two cars, so parking difficulties are an inevitable problem.

 * Traffic congestion is an inevitable problem in any large city.

People often double park as a solution to this problem. But this leads to problems of its own. 

 * I always leave my phone number when I double park.

Double-parked cars can't be moved if they aren't left in neutral. This makes it necessary to call up the car owner. 

Even if you take special care to park right in the middle of the parking space, the gap between cars is narrow. This means you might become the victim of door dings, or even cause them yourself without meaning to. 

 * I had an argument with a neighbor because of a door ding.

There isn't enough parking space as it is. But some people even spill over into other spaces. 

I really get worked up when I see such selfish people.

How can they be so inconsiderate toward others?

They lack even the most basic community spirit.

That's right. I think people should be penalized for that kid of poor parking.

 Talk about BookTubers

Many people these days operate Youtube channels with their own unique contents. So-called "BookTubers" deal primarily with books on their channels. 

 * He usually shares useful links, rather than his own unique contests. 

Bookbuters introduce the books they read, or make recommendations for good reads during certain times. 

 * It's a good read, but you might not like it.

They also share their know-how on writing notes about the books they read.

Some users create unboxing videos of books that they have delivered to them, or introduce various goods produced by publishers or booksellers.

Some post vlogs about their studies or bookshelves. As a huge bookworm, I always enjoy and look forward to these BookTubers' videos.

입트영 20220221 The Benefits of Masks

 Talk about the benefits of masks

Once the COVID-19 crisis comes to an end, we will be able to take off our masks and return to normal. Of course, wearing a mask feels stuffy.

Also it's uncomfortable for people who wear glasses because their breath fogs up the lenses.

You can hide your expression when you're angry, and workers who deal with customers don't need to force a smile. 

Women pay less attention to makeup when they wear masks, which helps cut down on costs.

Some people even enjoy the benefits of looking more handsome or prettier when they wear a mask.

It goes without saying that I want the coronavirus crisis to end. But because of these reasons, I wouldn't say no to keeping my mask on. 

Having to wear a mask all the time is a bother, isn't it?

Still, it has its positives, doesn't it?

Of course. It helps to block out other viruses like the flu, too.

Talk about what give you an energy boost in life.

 

11/4 Mobile Social Networking

Talk about doing social networking on your phone.

I use my cell phone most of the time to do social networking. In fact, the vast majority of people now use their cell phones to do Facebook or Instagram. Because these services have become more mobile-friendly. it's easier to post things with our phones. User patterns have changed because of this trend. I make status updates 24/7 as I always have my phone on me. I leave replies on other people's postings and press the LIKE button if I like a posting. I do these things on the go. It's a great way to kill time when I'm just sitting around not doing anything in particular.

Most people make use of mobile banking these days. It's the easiest way to do banking since you can take care of your business on the move. You first have to download your bank's mobile banking app on your phone. You also have to download a digital certificate onto your phone. And then, you need your passwords and an OTP. An OTP is a small device that generates a new six-digit password every minute. It is short for "one time password." You can check your balance or wire transfer money very easily using mobile banking. I think mobile banking has had a huge impact on how people do banking.
