12/13 Bokjori


1. shape like: ~와 같이 생기다, ~의 모양을 하다
ex> The sofa was shaped like an alligator.

2. put up: ~을 걸어 놓다
ex> Let's put up the Christmas ornaments!
ex> They put up concert posters near the subway station.

3. roam: 떠돌다, 돌아다니다
ex> Don't roam too far.
ex> We're going to have lunch and roam around the stores.

4. be known to: ~하다고 알려져 있다.
ex> He's known to have a bad temper.

5. occupant: 거주자, 살고 있는 사람
ex> How many occupants are in the airplane?
ex> The train car can only hold 20 occupants.

6. practically: 실제로, 현실적으로
ex> We should use this money practically.

* strainer: 체, 여과기
* strain sth (off): (체 같은 것을 받쳐) 물기를 빼다, 거르다
ex> Strain off any excess liquid.
* dipper: 국자 ex> dip hot water from a boiler with a dipper
* pillar: 기둥
* the eve of: ~의 전야에
* traveling merchant: 행상, 객상
* unsuspecting: 신용하는, 의심하지 않는
* leap: 넘어가다, 뛰다
* utensil: 도구, 기구
* crafter: 장인, 만드는 사람
