PE 4/7 My Identity Has Been Stolen!

Your identity has been stolen! If you think this is the need of it, you've got another thing coming.
* you've got another thing coming: to suggest that a person is wrong if he/she thinks the outcome of a situation will be a certain way
ex> She’s got another thing coming if she thinks I’m going to apologize first.

You may have to call a company that can patch things up after your whole life has been hacked.
* patch things up: to fix a problem
ex> If you want to save your relationship, I think you had better try to patch things up with her now.

I don’t understand how this could happen to me. I rarely put my personal information online. In fact, I avoid it like the plaque.
* avoid something like the plaque: to try very hard to stay away from something
ex> Most of the students in the advanced math class avoided answering questions like the plaque.

Don’t sit there and whine about it. You need to spring into action. Call all of your credit card companies now and I’ll look up companies that can fix these problems.
* spring into action: to begin moving in a deliberate and quick way
= get on it; get a move on; get started
ex> When he discovered he had a flat tire, he sprang into action and changed it.

Don’t let this get you down. There’s a chance they can catch whoever is doing this.
* get someone down: to make someone depressed or unhappy
ex> Don’t let the bad weather get you down, it should stop raining tomorrow.
