2/3 What is the weather like in February?

Well, it’s late winter in February in Korea. Of course, it’s freezing cold in the morning and at night and very chilly in the afternoon.
ex> The snow starts to melt away in late winter.
* freezing cold: 매섭게 추운
cf> biting cold; sweltering hot, sizzling hot, boiling hot
ex> The weather forecast says it will be freezing cold today.

The morning lows are around -2 degrees Celsius and the afternoon highs are about 4 degrees Celsius.
* the morning lows/the afternoon highs: 아침 최저 기온/ 오후 최고 기온
ex> The gap between the morning lows and the afternoon highs are very big.

We get quite a lot of snow in February as well. It snows off and on.
* get quite a lot of snow: 눈이 꽤 많이 오다
ex> We used to get quite a lot of snow back home.

It gets quite dry, so it’s good to have a humidifier indoors.

During this time of year, people make the most of the remaining winter season. It’s the last chance to hit the slopes.

ex> You should make the most of your college life.
