6/23 What are some things that will make you more competitive in the Korean job market?

When it comes to landing a job, you want to have as many qualifications as possible.
* land a job: 취업하다.

This will give you a slight edge over your competitiors.
* give an edge over: ~보다 유리하다, 우위에 있다.
ex> Having good public speaking skill gives a candidate an edge over other candidates.

Having experience is invaluable.
* invaluable: very very valuable, priceless
ex> I consider my relationship with you an invaluable part of my life.

College students should try to get as much hands-on experience as possible.
* hands-on experience: 실무 경험.
ex> Internships are a great way to get some hands-on experience.

Another valued factor was to have certificates in the related field.
ex> Having their star player back from an injury was a valued factor in their win.

Although high TOEIC scores are important, they alone won't seal the deal.
* seal the deal: 일을 성사시키다.

You should brush up on your English speaking skills more than anything these days.
ex> I really need to brush up on my social skills before I go out with anyone.

Think it through and do what your heart tells you잘 생각해 보고 마음 가는 대로 결정해.

2. He has lots of hands-on experience in the related field.
3. She got 10 certificates in her field.
4. He needs to brush up on his people skills.
