* indescribable: quality or condition is very intense or extreme, therefore cannot be properly described.  ex> The pain was indescribable.

* strike: 두드리다, 때리다, 생각이 나다
ex> Suddenly, a great idea struck me.
ex> She strikes me as an arrogant person.

* two-volume book: 두 권으로 엮인 책
* Buddhist monk: 스님

* be brought up: 자라다
ex> I was brought up in an affluent family.
ex> She was born in Korea but brought up in Los Angeles.

* head monk: 주지스님

* mundane: 평범한, 흔한
ex> He couldn't concentrate on mundane tasks.

* to the fullest: 최대한으로
ex> Dad told me to enjoy my life to the fullest.


@ It's a page-turner.  정말 흥미진진한 책이야.

1. Her appearance struck him as odd.

3. All of his brothers were educated at home.
4. She doesn't think her job is mundane.
