3/3 Talk about when you got a new cell phone.

I remember when I got a new cell phone half a year ago.

* half a year ago: 반 년 전에

ex> The incident happened half a year ago.

Because it was a new model, I was not used to the new features.

* feature (=function): 기능

ex> She is not used to wearing make-up.

It was quite frustrating because I had a hard time doing basic things such as storing people’s numbers.

* frustrating: 짜증나는, 불만스러운

ex> Being misunderstood by others is frustrating.

I was not used to the keypad, so it took me a long time to type something.

Even worse, there were so many new applications I had to get used to.

In fact, it took me a full week to get used to the new phone.

* take someone a full week: 꼬박 일주일이 걸리다

ex> It took me a full week to adjust to the new system.

ex> It took me a full week to recover from the cold.

I read the manual to learn how to do several things. I still probably don’t know how to use all the functions on my phone.

ex> I always read the manual when I buy electronics.

@ There are just so many functions on smartphones. 스마트폰에는 기능이 너무 많아.
