PE 3/6 Sydney, Australia, a Walk to the Harbor

Wow, it’s hot today! What do you say we walk down to Circular Quay and enjoy the fresh sea breeze?
* what do you say…?: a way of asking if someone agrees to do something
ex> What do you say we move the bookshelf to the corner and put the sofa in the middle of the room?

How about taking a ferry across the harbor to the Sydney Zoo? Does that work for you?
* Does that work for you?: Is that an acceptable option?
ex> Tell me if this works for you: two-week vacation in the summer and two weeks in the winter.

Look at the line for ferry tickets. There’s not a snowball’s chance in hell we’ll get tickets for the next two or three boats.
* a snowball’s chance in hell: a very unlikely event
ex> There’s not a snowball’s chance in hell that your favorite team will win the championships.

I guess we’re walking across the bridge after all.
* after all: anyway; despite what has been, done, or planned
ex> We aren't going to the beach after all – my car won’t start!

Come on. You’ll be right as rain after some excuse. I’ll race you to the other side! Haha!
* right as rain: in very good physical condition
ex> I've been drinking fresh juice for a month straight and I feel right as rain.
