8/16 Studying English

I want to start off by saying the following.  

* start off: 시작되다, 시작하다

ex> You should start off with mild stretching.

First and foremost, before you sit down to study, you must have a goal.

* first and foremost: 다른 무엇보다도

ex> First and foremost, I would like to thank you for coming here today.

If you don't know why you're studying English, well, that's not going to get you very far.

* not get someone very far: 성공하지 못하다, 크게 잘되지 못하다 

ex> Being rude isn't going to get you very far.

ex> Don't be arrogant, that's not going to get you very far.

Studying consistently will keep English fresh in your brain.

* consistently: 지속적으로, 끊임없이

ex> My back has been bothering me consistently.

Don't be stubborn when it comes to choosing your study materials.

* when it comes to: ~에 관한 한

ex> When it comes to pizza, this place is second to none.

There is nothing like having a few friends to study English together.

* there is nothing like: ~만한 것이 없다

ex> There is nothing like a glass of cold lemonade on a day like today.

Two heads are better than one. 

Prov. Two people working together have a better chance of solving a problem than one person working alone.

There is no one right way to study English.  

However, I can certainly give you advice.  

First and foremost, before you sit down to study, you must have a goal.  

If you don't know why you're studying English, well, that's not going to get you very far.  

It's important to study English every day.  

Studying consistently

will keep English fresh in your brain. Don't be stubborn when it comes to choosing your study materials.  

Listen to 입트영 every morning, read books, watch movies and sitcoms, study grammar, and so on. 

There is nothing like having a few friends to study English together.
