It’s not difficult to notice Korean brands in Hollywood movies.
* notice: 알아차리다, ~을 알다
ex> He didn't notice that I got my hair done.

Do you think those products are accidentally put there?
* accidentally: 우연히, 우발적으로, 잘못하여
ex> accidentally stepped on the foot.

That’s highly unlikely.
* highly unlikely: 가능성이 아주 낮은
ex> He is highly unlikely to join the national soccer team.

Branded products or services are promoted within the context of a TV show.
* branded: 유명 상표의, 상표가 붙은
ex> She only buys branded goods.

Chances are that particular automaker has paid a fee to have their cars used in the movie.
* chances are 아마 ~일 것이다
ex> The chances are that they will come empty handed.

It’s not difficult to notice Korean brands in Hollywood movies or even in American TV shows. Do you think those products are accidentally put there just because actors or producers like certain brands? That’s highly unlikely. In fact, it’s the latest advertising trend called PPL or product placement. Also known as embedded marketing, PPL is an advertising technique where branded products or services are promoted within the context of a TV show or movie. For instance, let’s say you see a main character in a movie driving a certain car brand. Chances are that particular automaker has paid a fee to have their cars used in the movie.
