PE 9/2 Back to School

I love every minute of it, but I just wish I had more me time during the summer months. You know, more time to do things for myself.

* me time: time for a person to be alone and relax or do what interests them

ex> I've been working so hard, I haven't had any "me time" in weeks.

In three days you won't know what to do with yourself, now that Becky and Jake are back in school.

* not know what to do with oneself: to be so bored or overwhelmed that one can't decide what to do first. 뭘 해야 할지 모르다

ex> After my father retired, he didn't know what to do with himself.

Ha! You wish! Trust me, I have plans and projects that will keep me busy until Christmas break!

* You wish!: a response to an overly-optimistic or suggestive comment  = Dream on!

ex> Me and you out on a date? You wish!

I've decided to take up a second language. I've even got a private tutor who will meet with me twice a week.

* take up: to adopt a new hobby or sport

ex> Ever since she took up running, she has never looked better.

cf> He took up acting at the age of 50  (to enter into a profession or business)

Who is this hunky tutor you're going to be drooling over? 

* drool over: to find something so attractive that one's mouth waters uncontrollably.

ex> Every time I come to this restaurant, I find myself drooling over their dessert menu.

ex> Yuck! You have drool on the side of your mouth.  (= saliva)
