5/8 Talk about what you are going to do for Parents’ Day.

Parents’ Day is May 8th. It’s a custom to give carnations to parents on this day.
ex> It’s a custom to have rice-cake soup on New Year’s Day.

I already picked up some flowers for my mom and dad on my way home last night.

I also wrote them a thank-you card. I have some special plans lined up for today.
ex> I have some special plans for our wedding anniversary.
* line up: 일렬로 세우다

First, I’m taking my folks out for dinner to a nice restaurant. The place is a bit pricey, but I want to treat them well.
* take someone out for dinner: ~에게 저녁을 대접하다
ex> I want to take you out for dinner tonight.
* treat someone well: ~을 잘 대접하다
ex> The hosts treated the guests very well.

After dinner, we’re going to a musical together. I paid for the tickets for them.

My parents have done so much for me all my life.
* do so much for: ~에게 많은 것을 해주다
ex> They did so much for me while I was staying there.

I really want to make this day special for my mom and dad.
