5/1 Talk about when you had the flu.

I remember a time when I had a nasty flu. I was so sick I couldn't even get out of bed.
ex> I had to call in sick because I had a nasty flu.
ex> I was feeling so bad that I couldn't get out of bed.

My throat was so sore that it was killing me. I was constantly coughing and it hurt every time I did that.

I had a runny nose and had to blow it every other minute.
ex> It is common to have a runny nose when you have a cold.

I also felt dizzy because I had a fever. Plus, my body was aching all over.
ex> I was aching all over after running the marathon.

I was feeling so miserable. Naturally, I had no choice but to go see the doctor.
* go see the doctor: 병원에 가다; = see a doctor; go to the doctor
ex> I don’t like to go see the doctor.

The doctor prescribed some medications for me. I was told to get as much rest as I could. It was one of the worst flus I had in years. It took me a full week to recover.

@ I was as sick as a dog너무 아팠어
