PE 7/16 Running a Stand at an Outdoor Market

I’m just nervous because this is a whole new ball game – the state farmer’s market is a big deal. I want everything to be perfect.
* a whole new ball game: a way of saying that something is quite unique or different from something else

I’m glad you can be so confident. This beeswax cosmetics business is my life. Do you know how long I've been trying to carve out a niche in this market?
* carve out a niche: to find a specific area of business in which to operate with limited competition
ex> Successful businesses find a way to carve out a niche even in a crowded market.

I've always wanted to be more than just your employee in this business. You know I eat, sleep, and breathe “Dani’s Beeswax”…
* eat, sleep, and breathe something: to be obsessed with something; show excessive enthusiasm for something
ex> If you want to get good at anything, you have to eat, sleep, and breathe it.

You don’t need to sell me on your qualifications, you already got it!
* sell someone on: to convince someone of the positive attributes of someone or something
ex> Don’t try to sell me on dating your sister, I’m just not interested.

Feels like you’re under the gun to get everything right now that you’re an owner, doesn’t it?
* under the gun: under pressure
ex> The architects were under the gun to complete the project on time and under budget.
